The significance of the cherry blossom tree in Japanese culture goes back hundreds of years. In their country, the cherry blossom represents the fragility and the beauty of life. It's a reminder that life is almost overwhelmingly beautiful but that it is also tragically short.
What a Beauty it is to watch the cherry blossom... Life is Definitely Beautiful when we happen to sit under a cherry blossom tree. I wish to experience it one day....Until then here is my quilled cherry blossom branch with two birds (resembling LOVE) :) About the Project:I have colored the canvas board blue for the sky.I have used brown quilled paper for the branches.Few branches are made by quilling spirals.Birds in red quilled paper- loose coils made to shape like a bird . One facing front and the other facing backwardsThe blooming pink flowers are made with eccentric rolls with a yellow fringed flower in the center. I truely enjoyed rolling every bit of this project.... I am entering this project for the Indian Quilling Challenge IQCG#23

I was very excited to design these 2 cards because both my neice and my husband's neice's first birthday was on the same month. They were born in 4 days difference. I wanted to give a different look for both cards.

Quilled Cash envelop designs
These cash envelops are really cute and simple. I feel it would make the receiver happy.
Fringed flowers with green loose scrolls
Simple octagon shaped loose coil on a folded paper frame(origami technique)
2 fringed yellow flowers with a spiral scroll as stemand a tiny butterfly(It is so cute i love this one)
Flowers wreath and butterfly on a hard base
This one is yet to be framed. I got this design from online search engine and just tried to redo. So far i tried quilling with toothpicks, matchsticks and used scrap paper i had or i cut my own papers. This was my first try after i bouhgt my quilling too and quality quilling paper from the shops. I was able to feel the difference. The quilling strips coiled very well and they easily took the shape unlike the one's i used earlier.
So if you are a beginner practise withe the scrap papers you have....Once you get hold of the techniques you can goahead and buy the kit thats available in crafts stores.
